Udoot Privacy Policy (DRAFT for founder review, not published)

Effective date: 2026-11-06. Developer: Vediya. Contact: support@udoot.com. Country: India.

Udoot ("the app") organizes messages you bring into it. This policy says what the app does with your information.

The short version

Your messages stay on your phone. We do not collect them, upload them, sell them or share them. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your device

All of this is processed on your phone and stored in the app's private storage. We, the developer, never receive it.

The only network request

The app can download new sender rules so it recognises new banks and senders without an app update. It makes two plain requests (feed.json and feed.sig) to https://udoot.com/rules. It sends no message content, no identifiers, no cookies and no account details; rules only come down. It runs at most once a day, only after you have loaded real messages, and you can turn it off in Settings > Rule updates. Like any website, the server that hosts these files can technically see your IP address and the time of the request. The host that serves these files keeps request logs (IP address and time) for the period set by Cloudflare's standard policy, only to keep the service running. Downloaded rules are checked against a signature built into the app before they are used.

Permissions

What we do not do

No advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software. No selling or sharing of data. No account or sign-in. No profiling.

Children

Udoot is not directed to children under 13 (or under 18 where required) and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Because the app collects nothing, there is no child data to remove.

Your choices and deletion

Everything is on your device. Use "clear data" in the app, or uninstall it, to delete it. Delete any backup files you made. Because we hold no copy, we cannot retrieve or delete your messages for you.

Accuracy

Figures the app shows are estimates produced by rules. Check them against your bank statement. The app does not give financial advice.

Security

Data stays in the app's private storage. Backups are encrypted with a passphrase-derived key. Rule files are signature-verified. No system is perfectly secure; anyone with access to your unlocked phone can open the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
